We headed about 60 miles south on Route 9W to the the the Town of Woodstock..  Please forgive me if you are already aware of this, but many people aren't; Woodstock, NY is not the site of the 1969 Woodstock Music & Art Festival.  Woodstock, NY is a town in Ulster County and the August 1969, 3 day festival was held in the town of Bethel, NY.    Bethel is in Sullivan County and is about 43 miles south of Woodstock.  The original site of the concert is now home to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.   This beautiful facility is celebrating 10 years this year; but the actual field where the concert was held, remains untouched.  The only resident on the field is the marker that was placed there in 1984.

But Woodstock is still a town immersed in art and still holds on to the 1969 Woodstock vibe.  Wednesday was a beautiful day, bright sun, blue sky, 70 degrees and a light cool breeze.  The town was quiet and pleasant to walk around.

The Visitor Center with it's out door photo booth.

In the center of town is the Village Green.
Woodstock Reformed Church peeking behind the Village Green.
Tannery Brook running through town.
Woodstock's eclectic shops.
And a they had a few posters left over from last month's Record Store Day.
And rember Record Store Day is the third Saturday in April every year.
Street art and novelty that makes Woodstock so unique.
Of course you would expect to find a Little Free Library in Woodstock.
And even the birds get in on the creativity.
Beautiful little stone Christ's Lutheran Church.
Lunch was at Bread Alone.
And since it was a beautiful day we had lunch outside on the patio.  Turkey and Brie with Cranberry Chutney Sandwich with a side of Hummus for lunch.
